Perforations

Perforations in foundation walls—commonly created for utility lines such as water, sewer, gas, or electrical services—are a frequent source of water intrusion. Our repair process is designed to permanently seal these penetrations and restore the integrity of the foundation wall.

The repair begins with thorough surface preparation around the perforation to ensure proper adhesion. A high-strength epoxy barrier is then applied to the interior surface of the foundation, fully encapsulating the penetration and bonding directly to the concrete. An injection port is installed within the epoxy barrier to allow controlled material delivery.

Once the epoxy has cured, a hydrophobic polyurethane foam is injected through the port and into the voids surrounding the utility penetration. The foam expands upon injection, filling cracks, gaps, and annular spaces throughout the thickness of the foundation wall. This creates a flexible, watertight seal that accommodates minor movement while preventing future water infiltration.
